O-I BJC SIGNS A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH THE HCMUT-TBI, OFFICIALLY LAUNCH THE GLASS AMBASSADOR CHALLENGE

On the morning of April 12, 2025, O-I BJC Vietnam officially signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Technology Business Incubation Center - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT-TBI), committing to collaborate on activities related to innovation and sustainable development.




The partnership aims to build an educational environment closely connected with real-world business practices, while promoting sustainable thinking and innovation within the academic community. Building on this collaboration, O-I BJC and HCMUT-TBI have swiftly launched a series of meaningful joint initiatives. Workshop – Sharing sessions for HCMUT students have been organized, featuring insights and experiences shared by experts from O-I BJC.


O-I BJC shared about Glass for students of HCMUT


O-I BJC is also participate in the Kick-off event of Bach Khoa Innovation 2025 (BKI 2025) as an official sponsor. Within the framework of BKI 2025, the two parties are jointly running the Glass Ambassador Challenge, a competition seeking innovative solutions for the collection and recycling of glass packaging.



GAC falls under the University-Industry (U-I) collaboration track, aiming to discover innovative solutions to real-world challenges faced by businesses. O-I BJC presents a pressing question: Effective solution for collecting glass packaging for recycling at a rate of approximately 100 tons per month, equivalent to about 1,200 tons per year. The challenge is open to students, alumni, startups, and postgraduate learners from both local and international institutions.



Besides, at the event, O-I BJC showcased a variety of glass bottle products with different shapes, which are the packaging items currently produced and supplied by O-I BJC to both domestic and international partners. The activities such as Check-in to receive gifts, sharing knowledge about glass recycling and sustainable development also received positive feedback from students. Many young people expressed their excitement to learn first hand about the glass recycling process – one of the key solutions for a green future.
