GLASS AMBASSADOR project
A sustainable project by O-I BJC to raise community awareness about glass usage and recycling, aiming to increase the collection and recycling rate of used glass bottles
UP-COMING EVENT
GLASS AMBASSADOR CHALLENGE
As part of the Bach Khoa Innovation 2025 competition, O-I BJC, in collaboration with Bach Khoa University, is organizing the Glass Ambassador Challenge to seek innovative ideas and solutions for glass collection, sorting, and recycling.
The challenge is open to university students, alumni, and startups across the country, as well as postgraduate students from both domestic and international institutions.

WHY WE SHOULD RECYCLE GLASS ?
Glass is made from SAND - SODA - LIMESTONE. Recycling glass can bring impressive benefits.
Each metric ton (MT) of recycled glass can save up to the equivalent of 600kg of sand, 200kg of soda, and 200kg of limestone.
Meanwhile, each recycled glass bottle helps save an amount of electricity, which can light a light bulb for 4 hours.
Moreover, recycling glass significantly reduces CO2 emissions to the environment
Glass is infinitely recyclable
However, the recycling rate in Vietnam only reaches 15%, significantly lower than in European countries (74%)
or the United States (33%)
