Continuing the journey of sustainable collaboration with the Technology Business Incubation Center - Ho Chi Minh City University Of Technology (HCMUT - TBI), O-I BJC has launched a series of guest lectures to share knowledge about glass with students from various faculties through the Entrepreneurship course.
On April 24 and 28, Mr. Phan Viet Hung – EHS & Project Manager at O-I BJC – offered fresh, practical insights into the glass manufacturing industry and the current state of glass recycling in Vietnam.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Trung Kien, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Materials Technology, shared: “For engineering students, interacting and engaging with businesses not only opens career opportunities but also helps shape a more serious attitude towards learning and clearer future orientation.”
During the sessions, O-I BJC also encouraged students to embrace innovation and propose solutions for efficient glass packaging collection and recycling through the Glass Ambassador Challenge – a competition jointly organized by O-I BJC and HCMUT. The competition aims to discover innovative ideas and solutions to collect 100 tons of glass packaging per month, equivalent to 1,200 tons per year.

Registration is now open until May 12, 2025. Access here for more information about the competition!
